At any time of year, thousands of hikers of all ages follow the well-signposted routes in the Schmallenberger Sauerland. Depending on your preference and level of difficulty, there are numerous routes, refreshment stops and attractions to choose from.
Schmallenberg is located directly on the famous SauerlandRadring, an 84-kilometre cycle circuit that leads past numerous towns, villages, attractions and places to stop for refreshments. The SauerlandRadring was mainly built on a former railway line and offers a relaxed and varied cycling experience.
Depending on your fitness level, you can choose a route that suits you and enjoy the Sauerland by bike or e-bike.
An attractive golf course awaits you, which fulfils all wishes for a few varied hours of golf. Regular golf taster courses and a 6-hole short course, which can also be played without a licence to play, round off the golf offer.
The sacred mountain of the Sauerland is right on our doorstep and is a popular, mysterious and striking destination for a half-day excursion.
On the summit plateau of the Wilzenberg you will find a 28 metre high summit cross, a chapel with 14 Stations of the Cross and the 17 metre high viewing tower, which gives you a magnificent panoramic view of the Land of 1000 Mountains.
